Swimmers be prepared to challenge yourself with Beach Runs! The race will feature a water start following a clockwise triangle swim course. In true XTERRA format swimmers will exit the water and run to the “Shoe Mat” near the JTL Timing tent, then swimmers will face the trail hill climb up to Transition at Kohala Garden, Hapuna Beach Resort. There are thorns and rocks in this trail run up to transition and we require all athletes to wear protective footwear for safety reasons.
